I'd like to formally promote the incredibly talented, Toronto based artist, collector, and jewelry designer of Petalwear, whom I have the pleasure of calling my dear friend, Mary-Theresa Lawlor.
Petalwear recently made an appearance at New York Fashion Week, this week at The Standard Hotel in Manhattan. I could not be more excited for her entirely deserved success!

- Along with an academic education in Fine Arts, Sydney Abram independently designs collages, Styles and Art Directs for photoshoots, Alternative Fashion Shows, and designs and produces one of a kind jewelry for her own line Rebel Palace. Rebel Palace has been showcased in a number of Fashion events including three of Toronto's monthly Rock n' Roll Fashion shows 'STILL PUSHY' at the Bovine Sex Club (featured in Gasoline Magazine # 23), IMAGO zine's 'Bedtime Stories' Fashion Theatre event at Circa, paired with Project Runway Canada's winner, Evan Biddell's Summer 2009 collection, Toronto Alternative Fashion Week 2009 and Tokyo Cyber Monster's 2nd Anniversary: DECADENCE. She also served as an assistant director behind the scenes while working on wardrobe and organization for many of these events. With her talents as an art student, experiences in the fashion industries fast paced environment, and natural ability to organize, Sydney would serve as a significant asset to art directors or photographers desiring a quality shoot.
